I have all the data migrated to my sister’s system but now I am not sure where the recycle bin files and folders are located. Please help me sir. I feel i had some important files inside the bin.

I tried to access the desktop via command prompt but I dint find any folder name recycle bin, may I know how can I view my recycle bin files and folders from the command prompt

Thank you

Do not save your files and folders in recycle bin anymore. All the recycle bin files and folders will be in the root of the drive like C:\recycler, D:\recycler, so on and so forth etc. Search for folder name in the root of the drive.

It’s dispersed in the all drives because by default its set as that. All you have to do is. Take back up of all these files and place it appropriately. Make sure that the directory structure of the files system is maintained in tact. Only then it will work

But may I know why are my recycle bin files and folder dispersed all over my local drives. As it was an hidden folder I missed it out, Thank you for telling the location, now I have listed all the folders and I am taking the back up again. But I want to know why these files are dispersed here and there. Can I keep all these content on a single place as it will be very easy for me to manage and maintain all my deleted information?

It’s like when you install your operating system it will default take a specific space of your hard disk drives to store your deleted data. You can change it by right clicking your recycle bin folder and select properties and click on all the tabs on the top. If you have 2 drives say for instance c: Drive and D: drive then there will be two tabs on which you can click and customize accordingly. Hope this helps you a lot.

And remember if you deleted your files unknowingly there are software that can recover it. All deleted file are not completely lost. They stay in the hard disk so you can recover with file recovery softwares.
